2.1 inches for the storm, 18 inches OTG and 47 inches even for the season, no complaints, it's beautiful out there.
Hopefully we add more this week. Lots of chances but no guarantees.

Re: Super Bowl Snowstorm, Part II: First Call
Calling 4.5" for this storm. It was a real treat- blinding rates, accumulated right away, came in earlier and stronger than progged, hit during the day so the kids could really enjoy it, etc... Also, and you all know I'm a little nutty about this stuff, but I think the Shore may have finally broke 'the warmacist spell' we've been under for what has been the previous 2 full winters and the first half of this one (Hee haw, it was 26 snowless months down here brother, not 14!!! ).
As far as last week goes, I also measured 2" from last Tuesday night's back end as a nice top off to the 5" we reeled in on last Sunday's front end. I think the front end totals and back end totals were fairly consistent with what most of y'all got (just like the Shore totals for yesterday. Lower, but consistent with what you all got). Obviously, getting shut out of the Main Event from Mon-Tue was a bitter pill that I still have to get over. But looking at the bigger picture, we just had our 3 biggest events of the past 3 years in a 7 day span. And 2 of those events were decent by any standard and the top-off in between was actually quite helpful. Kids have been playing in the snow for most of the past 7 days and are off to a friend's house to sled right now! (We're homeschooling this year and every Monday is already nature day with their homeschool group, so the timing was great!).
Seasonal total: 11.5-12". All of a sudden, we are tracking perfectly for our annual average of 15-20".
Storms over an 1": Three, average is about 5-7.
Storms of at least 3-4": Two, average is 3-4.
Storms of at least 8": 0, average is 1 per year/1 every other year.
If this week pans out anywhere near how it's presently forecast...Ima have to put a hard stop to all my b*&%ing and moaning! To which I'm sure the whole board would all say:
But, let's not get ahead of ourselves, it's still been a tough road to hoe and nothing is guaranteed, so cautious optimism settles in! And gratitude too, not only for nature's bounty but also for all of your well wishes coming in from near and far on behalf of all of hitherto snow-starved South East NJ.
