No it's because 1190 ft makes up his totals from inside his house, KIDDING.
The elevation certainly helps plus he happens to be under an intense band for several hours now.
I think it's coming your way Damian. I was little more than an inch at 8:00PM and at 10:30 I'm now at 5.0 inches even, almost 2 inch per hour rates and 29.1°.
Why can't it do this at least once a week for six months.

Surprisingly, it’s still snowing here. It was sleet and rain but it turned back to snow snow 1 and hour ago. It doesn’t appear to accumulate as much but road and sidewalks still have snow.

The race does not belong to the swift. About 4 inches so far out there for me. Seems steady enough

Didn't quite get into the best of that band but enough to be wowed by it.
7.2 inches otg as of 11:30, 28.9 ° and still coming down heavy. Looks like I should stay in this at least another hour. Double digits definitely within reach.

28.6° in moderate snow.
7.5 inches as of midnight and I never got into the meat of the death band and it was still impressive. What a show for those that were in the middle of it. Someone up by Damian in Northern Orange 3 miles west of Middletown had 9 inches in 2.5 hours, 12 inch total.
RIDIC.
Enjoying the moment but boy is Tuesday gonna suck

Rb, you should never apologize brother! You put in so much time and then put yourself out there with what you feel are your best thoughts. I, along with everyone on here, appreciate all you do to try and bring home the goods. On to the next one...

Only about 5” otg, went to sleet and rain but as the wrap around radar fills in, switched back to snow- let’s see if the trend continues 34* currently

(no pictures) shoveling 1/2 the driveway, it is really accumulating quickly! Funny thing up until last year I also owned a home in Ft Lee Nj, takes 1 hour and 15 minutes to get there and they have no snow, crazy weather!
Good Luck !

talt, your post here reminds me of a scenario from December 1966.I was living in Fort Lee then and we went to visit my Uncle and family at his 235 acre farm in Westtown NJ close to you.Fort Lee had a few slushy inches but Uncle Ralph had 18 OTG with snow showers on and off that day.Went out for a walk down Goodridge Road and could barely see the High Point Monument in the snow showers. This storm so reminded me of back in the day when the forecast always said "areas North and West" of the City were expected to get more snow.Your the jackpot man on this one!
30 degrees, light snow, a little breeze. As of 12:30 am, trained spotter has me at 8.Might get an inch more today.Started snowing lightly around 4 pm here yesterday but the jets turned on with the heavy stuff around 7:30.It was ripping heavy snow when I turned in at 10PM.Woke up at 3 and heard my snow plow guy and saw that the snow had ended,

I thought maybe it’s great that the northeast have snow to keep air cooler but I remembered we are having a heavy rainstorm on Tuesday. This winter is mean.

The trained spotter had me at 8 inches at 12:30 am and my plow guy came through at 3:30 AM.Looks like an additional inch fell on the driveway and walk since so coming up to 9 inches with light snow falling.Radar is a hot mess ATM but looks to be filling in.

I've been reading the forum here for a few years but had to finally register and add to the conversation. I'm in Andover Township about 10 miles ESE from Stillwater at about 750 ft altitude. It was moderate snow with 2 or 3 inches on the ground when that heavy band came in about 8pm, temp went from 29.5 to 31.5 and it changed to sleet/freezing rain. Temp dropped back below 30 at about 1030pm and switched back to snow. Amazing that the warm layer was within the ~400ft difference in altitude.
Ended up with about 6-7 inches of heavy, sleety, icy mess as of 730am. But i'll take that over rain any day!

Just finished shoveling. Ended with about 0.01” of very wet snow. The pics of those up north look incredible. Congrats!!

Lol similar story reporting across the Hudson in East Village. At one point last night I saw a slushy quarter inch of slop on a few windshields.
1190ftalt - that's the stuff dreams are made of. One day I'm hoping I'll see something like that again here in the city!
