Absolutely blitzing right now, hopefully this is what we continue to see and at least the 6" mark will be met. Roads get tire tracks and within minutes they are covered again, blowing sideways non-stop.

Well GOOD MORNING everyone! I'm not going to lie, I went to bed early last night after the trends seemed to be stacking up against us. However when I was woken up by a plow at 3 AM, I knew something good must be happening.

Closing in on the 6 inch mark here in Hopatcong! What a win. Anything else is a bonus at this point, and it's currently snowing heavily.

Interestingly enough, even though we aren't in the higher rate bands up here, the snow is having no problem piling up quickly.

I think we are compensating for the lower rates with higher ratios (12:1 perhaps?), and it seems to be working out well for us. It's currently 28 degrees.

Funny you mention the ratios. I was expecting to be snowing at 33/34 degrees this morning and I’m at 30.7. Even colder in your area. I wonder if the rates will be better (ie closer to 10:1 than the 7:1 or 8:1 I expected).

12 inches on the ground at 8:08 in the am, going to go out and start shoveling snow soon ! Temperature went up 1 degree to 30, snowing hard. Top of the mountain (Mt Paradise) 1605 feet altitude is totally clouded in, my house at 1190 feet altitude and snowing hard!

8 inches even and counting as of 8:10 am. 29° and the snow continues.

If the radar holds up 10 inches seems like a lock and a foot not out of the question.

I honestly can't remember the last time I went to bed at midnight accepting the fate the models had bestowed upon my area for 1-2 inches of snow and woke up to a total model breakdown. I'd much rather have this than the reverse.

Wow what a jerk. people are stuck on my hill (more of a incline but theres a stoplight at top, if you stop you get stuck a van just totally wiped off the side of a parked BMW, I was try zoom in on license plate so I could leave them a note but couldn't didn't stop or nothing. What you P+++k.

moderate to heavy snow 31.2 cleared 5". Most snow from one event since Jan 2022

30 degrees, flipped from moderate to heavy snow now.Blowing snow and windy.

Critical thickness. The best ratios are outside the 1300 and 5400 lines. I-84 corridor in particular will squeeze out more snow even with less precip.

That would back up what I'm seeing IMBY. There must be some good ratios here in Sussex. I swear we've picked up an inch in the last 30 minutes and we aren't even under the 'heaviest' banding.

Yep, it's definitely a drug to our kind.

The same effects, the bigger the dose the more euphoric. The big plus, no fear of death from an overdose.

13 inches of snow on the ground at 8:30 in the AM, that is 2 inch per hour rate, had 12 inches 22 minutes ago, Temperature dropped a degree is now down to 29 degrees, hope everyone gets BLIZZARD CONDITIONS!

I live north of 84 by a few miles and We have about 7 inches. My hope worked. Seem the storm followed the trajectory ot was heading last night when I went to bed.

8 inches and 29deg here, really dumping down now too. seems your extra 450ft in elevation is worth 5 more inches this time!
