Re: BLIZZARD JAN 26TH-27TH: OFFICIAL OBSERVATION THREAD
Just walking back from Midtown NYC to Greenwich Village. A lot of snow pellets in the mix.
It is looking like a storm now, with increasing wind and precipitation. So nice to see after such a lousy month for city snow lovers.

GFS total precip through 7pm is already almost wrong. It will be dead wrong by 7pm. This model can not handle convection. Period.

only a dusting so far with on and off flurries. Saw a graphic saying 31°F is 10 to 1 ratio 24°F is 15 to 1. Im at 18°F so when then moisture makes it the ratios will be amazing.

Already have 4 times. Cmon Frank you're the weather expert, but as far as how to enjoy a storm you're a rookie. Leave that to me and Doc and other +40 guys. Enjoy.

I'm in west NJ probably getting 10-14 inches of snow. I'll take it, but you're going to see 24+
Seriously, enjoy.

Looking at radar I see a lot of moisture to the east in the ocean this worries me being on the fringe of areas that could do very well.
