There seems to be differing opinions out on the forums looking at the western ridge of the 00z GFS. To me, it looks less amplified than 18z GFS.

IMO, this will come in same or a little worse than 18z. Hope I'm wrong.

At 72, I like the look of the trough/energy a little better than 18z now.

Once again, no digging of the H5 vort from the GFS tonight. Surface low pops off the coast of New England. Oh well.

Wow. I was certain that the GFS would at the very least start to trend in our favor. You have to wonder now if its going to score a coup, or go down in flames.

Eh, idk cause the foreign models have been trending north with the H5 low as well. The GFS meanwhile has been consistent in keeping it to our north.

The snow is impressive this morning in west NJ. Very thick flakes coming down at a good clip. Quickly coming east, enjoy Smile

Dying off a bit in NNJ. It was looking like the northern edge was on its way to me, but I'm thinking it may be down to a couple flakes by the time it's overhead.

Pretty much the season in a nutshell.
