Light snow continues here, already have a dusting. I'll see where I'm at in the morning, still only expecting an inch at most. Hoping for a good surprise.

Night all.

Radar looks like I-84 is the most north it will get. Not sure how much is reaching ground at the northern edge.

Steady light to sometimes moderate snow 14*. Been like this (when I've checked) since about 1 am. radar seems to want to turn the orientation of the movement more northward with back end still from NE PA to DC. That won't help our friends in far NW NJ or the Hudson Valley much, but could help central NJ/immediate NYC metro. Heavier band from just SE of Edison back into Philly right now. Hoping that rotates into my area and sits there. Lol.

this from nws disco at 410am. I wonder if they ever go outside and take an observation. currently ripping snow all across the area.
THERE IS CONCERN THOUGH WITH THE AMOUNT OF DRY AIR IN PLACE AND
THE TIME IT IS GOING TO TAKE FOR A STEADY LIGHT TO OCCASIONALLY
MODERATE SNOW TO DEVELOP. IN ADDITION...THE 06Z NAM WRF HAS
TRENDED A LITTLE DRIER WITH LESS THAN TWO TENTHS LIQUID EQUIVALENT
AT THE COAST. MODELS OF LATE HAVE HAD DIFFICULTY LOCKING ON EVEN
WITHIN ONLY A FEW HOURS OF THE ONSET OF AN EVENT
. JUST A SUBTLE
SHIFT FARTHER SOUTH AND AMOUNTS CAN BE REDUCED DOWN TO ALMOST
NOTHING. PREFER TO STAY THE COURSE RIGHT NOW BASED ON THE 00Z
GUIDANCE AND RADAR.
the bold is so true this winter and very frustrating in trying to predict sensible weather.

Nice to see that some will wake up to a pleasant surprise instead of some of the nightmares we've had lately. Don't expect more than an. Inch here but never did so no disappointment. Would be nice to see city get 4 plus and from that radar it looks possible. Nice to see you getting some decent snow too Al. I'll take another whitening up here and add whatever to the totals.

Well get It next time Doc.

Still steady light to moderate snow here. 14* First plows just came down my street. I'd bet if we get another good band before this ends I end up at about 3" or 4" max if it fills in on the backside as it pulls northeast.

Sounds about right, CP, maybe an inch. Maybe another inch with those snow showers and looks like something on the weekend followed by more cold.

Plenty of time for that CP, right into mid April as you have mentioned.

Enjoying my first HV winter big time!!!

Looking at the radar it appears the dry air is making its move in from the west and storm may be starting to pull away. I'd bet the snow (except some flurries) ends here in Somerville by 7 am
