Anyhoo, still a great snow season for me up here the first year.Getting the Hudson River Force Field for Jumno and anti -virga still didn't stop almost 70 inches.Very happy!!!!

The snow has been coming down moderate to heavy here for about 4 hours or more. But in terms of accumulation it is highly localized. And I mean local. Sidewalks on one side of the street have an inch or so and on the other side of the street just wet and a bit slushy. One parking lot is snow covered, another just wet. Some of it has to do with treated vs untreated surfaces, but its pretty fascinating to see the differences. And to see how heavy it has been snowing for this long with very little to show on the ground. If this storm arrived around midnight last night with no sun angle/strength issues, with these rates I think I'd have about 4-5 inches.

Cp and Doc I saw that video and thouht of you two guys with the measuring, I love those two old coots and you guys make me crack up like they do.

Down here at Floyd Hall at MSU and it is 30* and absolute ripping down here. Visibility .25  mile at best.

Maybe I'm seeing things, but the heavier precip looks to be expanding NW the last few frames on radar. Great sign.

Hey doc!! 1.5" on grass. Pavement just getting covered now. It's close big guy. we're in the home stretch. Don't think I'll pick up another 2.5". Maybe another 1.5' It'll be close. AND DOWN THE STRETCH THEY COME!!!!

Yup expect another change.  The over under was 4 forecast changes in the past 48hrs.

About 3" on grass, about a slushy inch on blacktop, maybe half inch on treated roads.

Crazy, Upton still has me in 4-6? what time does this wind down? It just started covering the sidewalks and road..

absolutely ripping snow here in the Bronx snowing harder here than in lower Westchester everything covered even the paved surfaces

Its a thin line. Also what, if any, infrastructure underground makes a difference too. I'm near white plains and not sticking to pavement except some very localized spots in the last 20 mins. I knews it would take a while when it took hours just to get a dusting on the cars.
