Re: Hurricane Hermine Discussion
HWRF is pretty severe too, taking it west, then east then west again possibly slamming coast with wind rain etc twice, then goes NE just south of LI. WOW, I just can't believe this, hopefully the models are not failing miserably bc people are going to start hearing about this very soon.

Very scary.
Honestly as much as the tropics excite me, this is concerning me now. Although I am inland I hate to see the coast indure anything even close to Sandy, I know its not the same but man that rain over the ocean is nuts, if that gets into the area, bigggggg problems.
STOP IT!!!! This is what we live for. Your away from the water you'll be fine.

Re: Hurricane Hermine Discussion
And not seeing huge rainfall amnts. being a concern unless it landfalls and spreads out, will be tightly wound and somewhat small precip shield as modeled now.

Re: Hurricane Hermine Discussion
Wow, this storm didn't even really phase Floridians. My family went about their business. Called my mom and sister down there and they were just like "oh yea we're good." Just goes to show you how unprepared this area is just like they are when it comes to freezing temps or snow.

Re: Hurricane Hermine Discussion
This path, similar to sandy, would funnel storm surge right into LI, NYC and jersey shore

Re: Hurricane Hermine Discussion
Jesus pushing 60mph gusts even into NYC and southern WC, my god to the south though, yikes. My god, for some reason I can't post but gusts in NJ are 80+ NYC 60+ pon Euro, with first actual landfalling model run....
