Wow, what a difference a day makes....a rogue thunderstorm rolled in just over Seaside at about 4:45 this morning and boy are we getting blown around this morning! 70* winds from the NNE@15 gusting @ 24. Got .37" of rain from the severe cell this morning.....

Janet, Just posted on the other board that it his us in Belmar at like 4:30 to about 6AM - crazy but we did not get much rain at all - just a wet ground - kind of like what has happened up North here but just the opposite with you and this summer. Enjoy the rest of your vacation.

Absolutely beautiful morning here in NNJ, cool, sunny and light winds.

I woke up at 8am to go for a jog before heading to work. It felt fantastic

It looks as if the first week of September could be above average. Most models have warm 850s around 18C into the area.  It looks though we will move then into the cool below average for most of September after that. So just a quick warm up for now....

The HI-Res NAM has some potent storms moving into the area later tonight. Dosnt look like anything severe just some very heavy rain due to high precipitable water amounts ahead of the storm....

Temps mainly in the mid-80's this week. We should remain mainly dry, but there is a small chance for pop up showers over the weekend. Uneventful week of weather once again for our area. Will have to continue watching the tropics.

The GFS has very cold temps at the end of its run. Haha, too funny. Don't think that happens, but it could get colder than normal by September 10th or so.

Hardly got any rain here in Seaside today, it kept breaking up as it approached the area....but very humid.....

Grey and gloomy at the shore...71* dew at 69* with a NE wind off the water at 15 mph with gusts to 20 mph....hope it burns off....

Looks like August will wind up cooler than average....And September starting off cooler as well....

My August average temp was 71.3*...... cooler than the last few years where it averaged about 74*
