Re: January 7th-8th Wave 2 Snow Event
Can't wait till we get into range for the short range models. When that northern streak up in New England gets ingested into the storm, some potential dynamics may certainly be at play.

If you remove tomorrow's snow event, the SREF plumes have 7"+ for JFK

Re: January 7th-8th Wave 2 Snow Event
Wow and most of those plumes are all on the upper side. What does white plains NY show I am kinda in between both, hoping I am similar plume. Not super important amounts right now just the trend amazing, hopefully this is a steady trend or at least stays put.

Wait, so we were saying ratios would be 15:1 or maybe even 20:1? Does that mean this could be a roid for some if these amounts verified MADONNE is right?

Re: January 7th-8th Wave 2 Snow Event
The 00z NAM is already stronger with the northern stream energy. I circled it to show how slow it is to entering the CONUS. Truthfully, I don't think models will have the best data on it until 00z runs tomorrow.

Re: January 7th-8th Wave 2 Snow Event
The 250mb jet streak is stronger over the EC. This could steer the southern s/w further north. Everything else looks the same.

Jet streak more NW and stronger over NY State. This should be west of 18z.
