Where was this? Looks fantastic. I'm a fisherman as well - brought in a 50 pound citation sized barracuda off of hatteras a few years back. The teeth on those things. And the smell they emit. Great catch!

so excited for you...nice looking fish...what counts is the time you spend catching the fish...on vacation last year my husband and son caught many a small fish..but had a blast the whole time.....I just sit back and take it all in!! Enjoy and Happy New Year!! to you and your family

Give it up guys it's not go happen and never was but you can see at 240 the cmc has a big cutter I'm sure it will pour for days at the end of the cold. Sorry just venting but this really annoys me. The models are in need of a office space beating. If you seen that movie you'll know what I'm talk bout. What good are they? They have done nothing but get worse and worse I remember tracking storms here from when I joined and we never had this many letdoend. It stinks.

Jman, you have to stop model hugging, it is still waaaaaaayyy to early, so just enjoy NYE and come back on Monday to see where we are. You will make yourself crazy, one run does not a trend make!

You might wan to wait at least until Monday night before making any proclamations. Writing this off at this stage is as a bad as calling for 30-40 inches of snow 7 days ahead of time. Thursday is several thousand miles away right now for the pieces of energy that will or won't make this happen. You often seem to forget that.

with a storm coming up this week what was your favorite blizzard over the past years .
mine was the blizzard of 94 where we had heavy snow to sleet to back to snow we ended up with 12 inches.
blizzard of 96 we had 23 inches of snow with lighting and thunder the city had to shut down the schools for 2 days.
blizzard of 03 we had 27 inches of snow very hevay blinding snow
blizzard of 09 day after christmas i never seen a blizzard with with crazy winds back to back thunder snow we ended up with 26 inches of snow

Blizzard of 96 was hard to top. But, I have to say I was in the bullseye of the Jan. 2016 blizzard and that was the most impressive for me to watch. I had a couple hours of literal whiteout conditions where the wind and snow was so heavy I couldn’t see a half block away. I ended up with about 28”.

Same here I have to say the blizzard of 96 was the best blizzard because it started snowing from Sunday morning and it did not end it till Monday night it was so cold for the entire storm so we had good snow ratios to

I actually would say the Blizzard of 96 withoutvquestion, but I left for school Saturday night and it wasn’t as bad there (central PA) as in the I-95 corridor. We got about 18” there which was great. But it felt like we missed the brunt since some areas closer to the cities were getting 30-plus. I remember my friends and I making a last second decision to leave around 11 pm Saturday to not get stuck in the snow Sunday (classes started Monday). We arrived at campus around 2 am just as the first flurries were falling.

I've always found it fascinating that you've run this site for years and you know nothing about forecasting other than regurgitating anything you hear from Frank, Sroc, Mugs, RB, Ace etc.

If you're making any money off of this site I presume your giving all of the profits to the aforementioned experts.

Blizz of 96 hands down
Crippled the I 95 corrider for almost a week including the NE cities from NYC to Portland Maine.
I have never seen in my lifetime or even heard what I have desrcibed many tim eon thi sboard of the day after tomorrow scene on Rt 80 in Paterson where i lived at the time Garet Mountain - 2 days after the storm it still wasnt plowed they were working on it - they brought in massive plows, front bucket loaders and snow throwers from what looked like the major airports to clear the roadway. For up to 7-8 days after the strom they were closing down lanes to plow out entrances, widen the right lane and shoulders. It was remarkable, Winds, snwo rates, zero visibility and arctic air that swung in behind it was just remarkable.

@cp seriously go to hell. Don’t make a dime of the site. Thank god I making great money in a legit business. It’s something that my friends and family enjoy before a storm. U are right I don’t know much about weather but still love it and enjoy every minute. Shame on u, ur in ur 50’s and making fun of ppl. Never to late to change but life is over before u blink. Being an EMT and seeing this day in and day out I can attest to that.
