Coming down like crazy heavy rain and 52*.

Hmm Snow showers in Allendale NJ until 7.

Wow! Winds are kickin' along the Toms River. Gusts easily in the 40s, maybe even low 50s. Nice little Jman special.

Temperatures are dropping if they're morning high of 57 it's currently 50 degrees. Very windy out there winds are howling out of the West of 30 miles an hour with gust up to 41

46*, mostly cloudy, and breezy in Hyde Park. November weather has been pretty boring. Below normal temps, yes, but still boring and I see little chance of any significant snow chances for rest of month. Hopefully December brings the white gold.

November is not a winter month and very little snow for most of our region and I have to disagree it's very exciting looking at the pattern and what looks to be transpiring the next several weeks and Beyond. The AO is forecast to tank to -4 when that happens there is a very strong correlation to it happening again in December January or February also don't fall asleep on this pattern one of these storms are going to come underneath us with all this cold air we could be in for a surprise the last few days of this month and especially heading into December

I understand what you are saying but I still think it's been a yawn fest this month. 2/3 of the way thru and we really have had nothing to track. At least last month we had the Nor'easter to track. Hopefully things become interesting soon.

It's snowing here in Ridgewood New Jersey. A burst of flurries coming down. Looks like the sky will be clearing in the morning but definitely have the first flurries of the season.

First flakes here for me on LI. Interestingly enough according to a local pro met I follow, when LI sees there first flakes before 11/20 the winters usually suck for snow lovers. When the first flakes are after 11/20 the winter is ok. BUT WHEN IT HAPPENS EXACTLY ON THE 20th LIKE IT DID THIS YEAR THEN LONG ISLAND USUALLY JACKPOTS WHILE AREAS N/W USUALLY SEE LESS OR EVEN VIRGA.

The first snowflakes of this season occurred one year to the day after the first snowflakes of last season.

Went for a hike on the Appalachian Trail today and checked one of my cameras, this one is at 1484 ft elevation , was surprised to see snow on the 20, a pleasant surprise! My house is at 1190 ft altitude and no accumulation, hope i remember how to load a picture! Will post pictures after all snow storms.

Nice 26° here this morning! Perfect temp outside since I will be cooking all day with the oven on! Much better than a warm Thanksgiving. Happy turkey day everyone, enjoy!

I second that mom. Can’t wait to put up the tree and hang the lights outside tomorrow. Me and my two closest neighbors all do it together. We help one another hold the ladders etc; burning wood on the front lawn in a pit and drinking bourbon the entire time as all the neighbors come by to bs and hang out. You favorite time of year is starting today.

Actually put up my xmas decorations today (small house doesn't take long). It was chilly but actually wasn't too cold in the sun.

I love this time of the year the holidays are here I'm doing my Christmas decorations on Saturday and I am doing my shopping tomorrow morning have a great Thanksgiving everyone

Jimmy, do a shot of bourbon for me! You are lucky to have a neighborhood like that.Reminds me of way back in the early 60's when there were many parties and card games at our house in Fort Lee with the neighbors.We need more of that these digital days Jimmy!
