Started snowing 15 minutes ago. Ripping good here. Windy. Ciating already

Still dryslotted... Now I'm convinced this is cutting into totals.

Dry slotted at the moment. The radar is showing snow over us by nothing is reaching ground yet.

this dry slot is definitely a concern. Hoping not to wake up later to the same crap but looks like somebody definitely gets screwed in these the way it's setting up.

3:30am. Been ripping here in southeast nassau since 1am. Sideways snow at times. Band training over here.

Eyeballing close to 2 inches already!

Ripping here on north shore too. Started 45 minutes ago. Will have an inch by 4

The band to the east isn't moving much, this is definately concerning.

Finally has started snowing here wind has picked up and snow is getting heavy now.

40dbz+ band making its way toward Long Island. Wind getting strong already drifting snow

I am baffled not a drop of snow...???

It started snowing here about 1.5 ago . A fine light snow and then a sudden burst of heavier snow for a total of about 20 minutes. I just woke up (again) and it looks like not a flake hit the ground! Edited to add; it's getting very windy.

Winds picking up everything covered streets and cars

I know this is banter but wow, its snowing all over but here and a few spots of NJ.....I am going back to bed, bad move to cancel schools up here for any reason unless it snows damn hard school would have been open...but they cannot go back on it now that parents such as me have made the plans to stay home with their child. Even if it started snowing hard now there would be no reason to cancel NYC or any westchester schools for THIS. What happened?

Dry slotted ATM.Lee said this would be over in NYC by around noon.Looks like so far Frank, NEPA Weather, and Lee Goldberg are nailing this for my area with 1 to 3 inches.Lee mentioned that last piece of energy folding in would limit the westward move of snow.Looks like ATM he nailed that too.Will be happy with 3 inches.Stay tuned.

Models failed big time they were all right the other day. I hope board of Ed can somehow still get school going today. I don't see getting a inch lp is already moving ne. Sroc unless there's some miricle my towels we're worthy and I won't be fooled again.

It's a funny thing, when you look at the radar, what appears to be snow extends into PA pretty far.Lee had mentioned that he saw that the precip extended more west than he thought would.Hold on to that towel J Man.I'm not ready to give up on this yet.

Precip field expanding and radar filling in. Massive 2-4 inch per hour band heading on shore LI. Still early. Not/barely even snowing in eastern LI up to eastern MA yet. Low still off North Carolina.

Have about 1/2" here in Nassau County. Lost power for about 3hrs. during the night. I hope that is not a harbinger of things to come. Snow seems to be picking up in intensity and wind is too.
