What happened?

This is the pre-new Year's snow that some of the models were showing last week. this is just the northern stream S/W which some models showed merging with the southern stream to give us accumulating snows today

Snow over, official total 0.5 inches.

Total for the season now 12.4, it's not what you get but how you get there. It's early in the game but so far a disappointing season.

A bit of a quick turn: if we do get a couple of inches of rain tomorrow, the 31st, it just has to push us over the record in some way regarding total rainfall for the year.

The Thursday Friday threat has now become a Thursday and Saturday threat look for a little snow Thursday morning from the northern Stream Energy something similar to what we got yesterday a quick coating to an inch in areas and then when the upper level low ejects out it's going to be a slow mover so rain sometime Friday afternoon and we have to watch if there's going to be phase with the northern stream sometime Saturday Saturday afternoon as the low bombs out which could draw cold air and it changes over to snow Euro shows this with some snow fir conn to New England it's unlikely to snow here but still have a shot. the the 8th and 9th. Looks very interesting
