21.0°
And to somewhat echo Dtone a very nice surprise this morning. 1.9 inches here and snow down to flurries.
Weather app predicitng 3-5 tonight, I'll go with Scotts 2-4.
27.1 inches on the season now. The most telling stat in there, 12.3 inches of snow in 12 separate events. November 15th and January 19th make up the 14.8 remaining.

Ditto here Zoo! I'm a little further south, so more into the precip and at 2.75" with a delayed opening. But, yeah this looks to be an actual over-achiever. Coming down pretty good again in what looks to be a nice little last hurrah for the day! A nice change up from what was the usual sudden-stop routine.

31* and still mod snow. 2" official on the ground. This is where the shut down valve usually comes in, as radar says another 1-2" to go.
Flakes just got bigger. I remember last week some of you said that meant change to sleet/rain was coming soon. Not the case here though...any other reason why the flakes would all of a sudden double/triple in size?

I have no scientific explanation for that but what I have noticed these many years of observing is that the last burst of a departing storm sometimes features that size and intensity increase before the shut down.

I could be wrong but I believe that it's good snow growth in the Dgz .Also could mean that there's a warm layer a few thousand feet up in the atmosphere anyway 2 inches of snow officially still snowing very lightly this is my biggest snowfall since November very sad and it came on March 1st after meteorological winter has ended
Thanks guys for the feedback...seems like both of what you said.

Looks like the end of the road down here as one last decent band passes thru. Still stopped accumulating around 8 am, so still at 2.5" or so.

This was the rankings snowfall wise of the big cities on the Northeast corridor as of February 20th. I noted at the time they were completely reversed of how they should be.
1. Washington DC...16.6
2. Baltimore............15.6
3. Philadelphia.........13.1
4. New York............10.0
5. B0ston.................9.2
This is the rankings going into today. By tomorrow this should be more in line of what it should be. Rarely will you ever see all five cities this uniform this late in the season.
1. Baltimore............17.8
2. Washington DC...16.9
3. Philadelphia.........16.1
4. B0ston...............15.9
5. New York............15.5

Just came in from shopping and have to say it’s hard to believe we’re going to have a snowstorm in a few hours. It’s sunny, 45 degrees and just feels WARM. I don’t know, I’m not feeling it. Everything that fell here the past two days is rapidly melting.

Clouds moving in now, we should start cooling down soon. Air is still dry here, so it may take some time for it to saturate.

I am wearing sweats...and kinda sweating lol
I'll say this, we've gone from low 60's to mid 30's in 12 hours...so I guess this can happen, too?

And I will eat my words. 3 hours after posting about how warm it was, it is snowing here. Very fine snow, not sticking, but somehow, improbably because it’s 40 degrees outside.

Brownie - we've had days where it was 50* at noon and a major snowstorm that night. Doesn't really mean a darn thing. If it was 45* at 7PM and we were to get a snowstorm that night that is a bit different.
