Which model is closer to what is happening with the storm at this point? I would assume we follow that model if it has predicted what is happening now with development, movement and precip.

Just like that down to 38* and the first snow flakes mixing in with the light rain. At this rate I should be in the mid 30s's with mostly snow before 6 p.m. Also still have some patches of snow around on the ground - figure that can't hurt. Gives the snow something to build off of Razz

Have to say, looking at the rain and snow areas on the radar and its impressive how similar it looks to what the HRRR had earlier. That could bode well because that was a pretty snowy run.

3K NAM is much closer to what is occurring now. Almost identical for my back yard.

At these temps nothing will stick until two things happen: First, the sun has to set; Second, the snow rate has to get to heavy. The first of those things will happen in the next hour. The second should happen starting around 7 p.m. I wouldn't anticipate much accumulation anywhere before 7 p.m.
