My goodness. Sometime during last night-after 10 pm and before 5 am there was a heavy rain. I thought my eyes were deceiving me when I saw the pool almost overflowing. It filled up my tractor cart which was empty and dry last night. How do I know this? I was tossing my beer cans into it. I was making rather merry and I paid for it this morning. But what a downpour. My wife said it was about a half hr and torrential, so loud it woke her up but she did not look at the clock. Anyone else get that heavy rain last night?

Yes, we got it here some time between 11 pm and midnight.  Absolutely torrential rain for about half an hour.

Edit:  Haha, I just now see your post was about Friday night.  We got the rain last night (Saturday).

Ok, so, why doesn't MT. Holly post storm damage reports or rain total reports? We got our a$$es kicked Monday night, and we think a water spout was spotted just offshore of here (I'm in Seaside Park this week and next). I almost chased that cloud formation, but it was a little hairy and I chickened out! I checked their website to see if anything was confirmed, and get rainfall totals, but nada. Guess I'm spoiled with having Upton as my NWS office.

Hey Janet. Usually Mount Holly does post rainfall totals (and snowfall totals) and statements on severe weather damage. I've posted some of them in the past. But I just went to look and it looks like they didn't post anything from this weekend's or this week's storms. I think the last I could find was from two weeks ago. Looks like somebody there fell asleep at the switch . . . or the whole office took summer vacation at the same time. Laughing

Morning rain clearing out, except some scattered showers in central NJ and an area of rain south of I-195. Definitely cool air in place 71* at 2 p.m. Nice very pleasant weather the next three days with Highs in the mid to upper 70s and Lows in upper 50s. Love it.

72* nice breeze and low humidity. Beautiful. I’ll sign up for this weather for the next three months until Snow season gets underway. Lol.

We went from desert heat of Arizona to cold windy San Francisco days in Seaside Park the last few days. Wouldn't be surprised if we all get sick over it! lol

Janet I have bronchitis and of course it struck on my week off. Needless to say I'm pissed my break is being spent this way. Hoping antibiotics kick in soon started last night 5 days.
