Keep an eye on early April for a coastal - saying April 6thish time frame still plus or minus 2/3 days.
2nd half of April we warm as teh SE Ridge and the warm Hotlantic waters take over and looks to be a muggy and warm summer with a late (midish August onward) active tropical season (above normal) as I am seeing things now - just my .02.

Absolutely not only the GOM but the Atlantic in te MDR zone is boiling and with a Nina forming the weaterlies get knocked down and the azores HP will build. Where this sets up will dictate where these bad boys and girls steer. I have a feeling we will see some Cat 2 and 3 making landfall on the EC from NE to Fla and Gulf coast. I know wise vast area but cant rule out one or two making their way up here if the upper pattern dictates such.
Anyway the blocking is coming, as projected now by BOTH Gefs and EPS and the CMC Ens so stormy pattern will take shape.

Something to keep an eye on, but can we please move this discussion to the long range or create another topic for this year's Tropical Storm season?

Hope everyone is doing ok, so far so good here in Dunnzville!

Pouring here. 49 degrees. Leaves were moving fast to open then slowed down. I think they are a couple of weeks early anyway. The lilac bush has leaves opening. and maybe some snow showers early tomorrow morning.
