Very light snow has commenced. Air being very dry took awhile. Winds are gusty.

Yes, it will cool some, which is the argument that people have been making to ignore the sleet. However, it will largely be dependent on where you are; the further north, the better your chances of avoiding a stronger warm air surge. That said, in events like this, typically the warm air advection still wins with a sneaky warm layer and turns most to sleet except in the absolute heaviest banding. Will be interesting to see if my theories work here, as I think that riming on snowflakes will assist with the warm layer in decreasing snowfall production for the metro, as condensation and then deposition are both exothermic reactions, meaning they release heat during the phase changes. Since it will on the snowflakes, this will help mangle the snowflakes further. We’ll see.

Dsix I am still holding true to my map which puts me in the 6-10" zone but the 8-12" is def not out of the question with that 10 mile or so jog. I am going to stick to my guns for now and be under done by a few inches rather than go higher with my totals and be over done. Call it superstitious

sadly I live second floor of a apartment can't have one. Not allowed put on the escape. And ya it's 32ish car was messed up.
