Not done here yet. I have heavy sleet right now. Hopefully it is short-lived and I go back to the heavy snow soon.

approx, and i mean wide approx do you guys think (frank hehaw mugs etc will my area see?) which model most closely got it right. Is it safe to say could get what franks map shows but thei higher end? I am basically at the low end already. Just not sure what to expect now that the major band is N and SW of me. Also does that band pull back through the area once the storm starts moving more east?

I think we go back to all snow soon. With this cold air pouring in these midlevels have to cool down very soon.

Hopefully we will switch back soon in Hillsborough too. Looks like we are in a lull right now but wind is picking up.

Using that excellent snow reporting link Frank provided earlier, a trained spotter in Hopatcong (who apparently lives in my neighborhood) posted 20 inches as of 2PM.
Being as I can no longer see my 18 inch ruler outside, I would say that is accurate. Looks like we are leading the charge up here. No mixing either.
Frank-- you had this area in 20-25 inch range, and that is now officially verified.

Important to look at this from a wide view. Bands keep forming off the coast and pivoting inland. Our CCB seems to be here now, and its poised to do damage across WNJ-NWNJ-EPA
Thanks for the response. I’m in Monmouth county close to the raritan and about 10 miles directly south of NYC by water so im assuming we’re getting more by what you said.

Are any other bands going to form off the water and hit eastern/ central Jersey?

If the 18Z NAM is right, then record setting snowfall will occur with this snowstorm. Based upon what's yet to fall.

I actually feel pretty good about my Final Call map from yesterday morning as well. My jackpot zone (dark orange was 20-30”) should have been further south like Frank’s. Had it about 20 miles too far North. Oh well. Frank’s map wins again! As always (of course, lol)!
Green was 2-4
Yellow was 4-8
Blue was 8-14
Light Orange was 14-20

Anyone see how close we are to the sleet finally ending? The false starts keep collapsing and its uber painful for a snow lover...
Like its not even trying to snow anymore. Just pure, intense, heavy sleet.

I just looked at the Dual-Pol radar to try to get an idea. The sleet zone over our area seems to be shrinking a bit. I don't think it will be too much longer. The banding is starting to rotate and will soon be coming more north/northeast direction, so we should go back to all snow when that happens as it will be a colder source.
However a dryslot is moving into our area, so we'll have to get through that as well and wait for the banding to our west to fill back in east.
