February 2021 Observations and Discussions

0.7 inches of snow last night, very cold drizzle now at 33.6°

Snowpack holding up solid at an even 10 inches otg. will be interesting to see where it stands Monday morning. My guess would be 8 inches. This isn't going away quickly.

41 deg with a depressing rain All the snow is gone except for my snow pack

Gray yucky day out there - wet snow rain mix last night from reports in the area here.
5--8" of snowpack on teh property more in the shaded areas of course
40* and raining .38" in the gauge so far - woudl have been a nice snowstorm IF it were cold enough !

.49" of rain today, just ugh... seeing some grassy areas under the trees but for the most part still a decent snow pack. 44*

48 and rain all morning. Snowpack is gone except for where the snowblower piled up the snow and various snow mounds around the area. Back to snirt piles and brown grass...

Up here in Northern Orange we had freezing rain for a bit then the rest of the day so far, overcast with no rain. Still snow on the roof and ground. Still covered

Picked up an inch this morning before changing to rain. 54.5 for season.

8.5 inches otg this morning. 59.4 inches for the season, 36° currently.

As I've stated Ad nauseam the last several days this snow pack is not going anywhere quickly. February was a very good month for snow pack, with over a foot on the ground for 24 of the 28 days. I'll sign for that any year.

January was bad, pretty snowless and above normal temps, and December was ruined by the Christmas Eve nightmare which washed away a beautiful white Christmas in one horrifying night.

It will be up to March whether this winter grades exceptional or just okay. We shall see.
