...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 7
 inches.

* WHERE...Western and Central Massachusetts, the Merrimack Valley
 and North Shore in Massachusetts.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM EST this evening.

It’s 5:38 pm and the snow ended a few hrs ago. I just got in from snow blowing. All along the watchtower I found a solid 5 inches sticking the snow on the driveway, on the car, and on tje walkway. No jive, just five. A little here a little there. It all adds up.

Oh forgot. 27 degrees

Lots of black ice tonight from todays storm already.

Freezing drizzle all evening. Everything is a sheet of ice in a nice glaze.

4° and over a foot and a half of snow on the ground for two weeks straight.

Life is good right now.

Just before 7 am this morning, it was zero. Now degrees here, too. A winter wonderland.

Yep here too, I do not recall the last time we held onto so much snow, it is melting but very slowly, in the most sun prone areas its less than a foot but in shaded areas its easily a foot i think.

12* for my low with about 16" on OTG maybe upwards of 20" in some areas!

GSP closed northbound just north of exit 48 for major multi-vehicle accident. Surprised there are folks out now, especially since the precip moved in much earlier today...

what I don't get is why in Texas and now NJ do people try to drive in this? All you need is .01 of ice to make roads terribly slippery. I fear too Frank for Tues wether it in metro area or further north. Haven't seen cp or doc and I know why . right now they sit in the worst spot posdible. But we will see what models do. It seems like predicting ice is even harder than predicting severe tstorm.

25.7* and a little band of sleet and freezing rain mix just passed through, radar looks like it is drying up here in NNJ. Yet the WWA has been extended into more the northern areas.

Just a light glaze here at 27*. Thankfully NNJ was spared the worst of it.

New Hope update: thin glaze on the steps and driveway, a bit crunchy walking across the snow--took the overland route to get the papers; currently 27*

34* here, storm incoming is a disappointment in my book.

At 47.2 right now. Cold air is on the move though as the initial shot is getting towards Reading, PA. Won't be long.

Cold air is plowing east. 48* here but you can see temps dropping to the west. 30* in State College PA and 22* out by Pittsburgh.

51º right now with winds starting to get a bit gusty.

Come on snowpack, it has to make it a few more hours. Took quite a beating last night and early this morning.

Somehow I think WU is wrong about tomorrow's weather though...

Yeah, they're probably going to have to fix that. Try 20* colder. lol

You can tell the Cold Front has arrived as the winds are gusty now and the temp has dropped 3 degrees here in the past hour or so.
