Re: February 2021 Observations and Discussions
17 inches otg right now and I could only guess, because I'm to lazy to actual melt it down, but I would say at this point the LE is 3-4 inches. This is the same as having 3-4 feet of snow otg for melting purposes. We will have snow cover here until mid March if it doesn't snow again, but I would hope it does, at least a couple of more times.

Snow was falling. My surface temp way too warm (38) for any accumulation. Nice to see nonetheless.

It snowed moderately from about 11 to 1 with temp at 33° most of the time. No accumulations just another glorious winter day.

36° (Alt+0176!!!! That one's for you GreyBeard!!! ), sunny and no wind in Bayville (GSP, exit 80).
I understand that winter weather could return, but today looks to bring real spring weather. I'm celebrating with an outside day, cooking the 3 major food groups: Beef, Pork and Chicken!!!

Re: February 2021 Observations and Discussions
27° with a 14 inch snow pack and a bit of a warmup on the way.
So far I have not had a day in February with less than 12.5 inches of snow otg. Maximum depth was 26.5 inches the evening of February 2nd. Will be interesting to see if we can make it through Sunday with at least a foot on the ground for the entire month, with no significant snow forecast through Sunday it will be close.
The liquid equivalent of the snowpack right now is at least 3 inches probably close to four. That will make this 14 inches of snow on the ground right now like melting 3 to 4 feet of snow, it will be tough to do even for a late February sun with temperatures in the low 40s. My guess looking at the forecasts is I'll probably be down to 10 inches on the ground by the end of the day Sunday

Yes, 50° here. A nice day. I hope we get a few more storms and the winter, to quote CP, will have been glorious.

Sun doing it's usual dirty work to the snowpack and will continue to do so as the days of sunlight (not the day itself) get longer.
53* here today beautiful day but breeze was chilly this afternoon when walking

Re: February 2021 Observations and Discussions
Went down from 14 inches otg yesterday morning to 10.5 otg this morning. This morning becomes my first day with less than a foot otg this month.
It was a really good 24 day run but not fantastic, like I've never seen, historic, or any of the other hyperbole you may read. If somehow this is it for winter, February gets an A+ and the winter as a whole gets a C. Hopefully March delivers in the HV as it usually does, then I'll adjust the grade accordingly. The first week of March is not promising at this stage.

Yes, CP, yesterday's snow pack attack hit hard.Seems it will slow down a bit with cooler air.
I would give the winter a C+ after this month and the 13 inch storm in December.I will up it if we get a few more in March.

From the imby perspective, this fairly well describes my winter too. Accumulating snow in March is prob more normal than not on a year by year basis down here, but at present I’m figuring that’s a wrap for this year.
Major theme: Snowfall returns!
Minor theme #1: A Ferocious February! (Technically, not a true statement imby, as my highest measurement was actually 5+” on Jan 31, but by Wxecutive Order, that counts towards Feb for this year.)
Minor theme #2: Big time near misses for Coastal Ocean.
My overall grade at this point probably a B, a lot better than the D and F from the previous two years.
The tracking this winter has been amazing too! What a show you guys have put on for us winter weenies!! Thank you so much for the time put in and expertise/wisdom shared!

Re: February 2021 Observations and Discussions
I'd give meteorological winter a B IMBY even though I'm way above snowfall averages. December's Grinch Storm which washed away a White Christmas and the 5 week dearth of snow between late December and late January weigh it down. Had January been normal temp/snow this would have been the first outstanding meteorological winter since 2014/2015.

While there's no big snow on the horizon, Friday night around midnight there will be some snow at the onset with C-1" type stuff before changing to rain S-N everywhere. Rain showers move out around near noon Saturday. No snow map for this, just alerts for areas affected tomorrow. pic.twitter.com/onnJXXQrp6

10 inches even otg this morning.
As I stated yesterday we now appear to be at the concrete level of the snowpack. Only lost 1/2 an inch yesterday despite full sunshine and a high of 43°

31 degrees. An inch has fallen as HeeHaw said could be. It will be 45 degrees today for a high. Freezing rain has started. With the rain today and tomorrow, look for us:Doc, Damian, and CP at the bar at Kinchley’s, toasting the demise of the snow pack.

0.7 inches of snow last night, very cold drizzle now at 33.6°
Snowpack holding up solid at an even 10 inches otg. will be interesting to see where it stands Monday morning. My guess would be 8 inches. This isn't going away quickly.
