Red line looks to be the back edge of the coastal based on recent satellite imagery. Let’s see how it plays out!
Also, Frank, nice maps!! Sorry I can’t add much discussion, just too busy. I’ll be trickling pictures in from my parents’ place from the last storm. Check that storm thread out for a prelude, for those interested.
Ahhh. Alright, I’ll be keeping an eye on it.![]()
Also noting some of the higher cloud tops on satellite this evening flaring from the north shore of Long Island back across north-central NJ. Wonder if heavier banding will be favored in that area.
Hmmm. And there is a heavy band setting up right where those cloud tops where flaring last night
@rb924119 you might be on to something.

Hi Res SR models FTW on this. Radar is juicy.
From observations last night and all that convection and latent heat release usually equals a good storm.

It’s been snowing for quite awhile here, almost 1” on my driveway.
It’s really hard to find a good place to measure, between snow piles everywhere, and effects of salt on my walk and driveway.

My latest forecast for today. The wiper effect keeping hope alive to the very end!! Is today the day to Restore the Roar to the Shore!!!

We shall see...temps and the
line seem to be crashing well ahead of schedule. So, I can’t say I’ve hit a point of cautious optimism yet for today, but I am feeling...optimistically pessimistic!!
As of 8 am, just outside of Trenton.

As of 10 am, just outside of Berkeley/Bayville. The familiar position of watching the cross section of temp crash and remaining storm juice. More favorable this time around than usual at this point in the game, so that’s a good sign.
