January 7th 2022 Snowstorm Threat

5.5” in Clifton as of 6:00am. Light snow for another hour - comfortable estimating 6” when it’s all done.

J man you're out of your mind 5 to 6" on the ground in Westchester Lga just came in with 7" on 3.6 Le  almost 20:1ratio

Definitely overperformed in Smithtown

LI and central to eastern CT are just getting blasted, I could see a foot easy there, scott hows it by you?

Jman I have 3.2 inches here as of 7AM and I've been to far north for any of the heavier bands. I'll bet you a free therapy session you're 5 inches minimum down there, probably higher.

I live in the Bronx in throggs neck area when I left my house this morning at 4 AM we must had 3 inches on the ground this is at four in the morning

I made a mistake laguardia came in with 8" at 7 AM on .31LE that's almost 25:1ratio incredible

Deer Park Long Island Western Suffolk:
7:10 AM     7.5 inches of snow. 29 Degrees.
Snow intensity has decreased markedly, with just some light snow.

Snowfall totals thru 7AM per NWS New York:
Central Park: 5.5"
JFK: 5.5"
LaGuardia: 8.4"
Newark: 5.0"
Islip: 5.6"
Upton: 5.7"

I will measure again shortly still have snow showers but it's at least 6"!

4” and seems to have stopped.  Looks beautiful!

Edited a few minutes later to add: back to very light snow, but looks to be really winding down.

I went out for more accurate and your right, 5-6 OTG. very nice out. Daughters school is remote and starting a hour earlier at 8 rather than 9 heh isn't that something! New just said it will be over in NYC area in the next hour, so it def over performed here by a few inches. Too bad I missed watching it overnight but I had to sleep for work.

They did not treat my street its a sheet of ice.

My second 5 spot this week! Still snowing lightly, I could see notching that elusive 6” mark on this one yet, but either way. I slept through this storm but it seems that we had heavy banding, no mixing and just a real solid direct hit on the Shore.

As much as I carry on, this is great to see so that all the Shore kiddos finally get theirs. The south Jersey Shore (really starting just to my south at exit 67 to LBI) hasn’t had a week like this since Jan 2018.

Nice! Yeah I slept through it too, but gotta be chipper for work! As I said close to 6 in here, not much more as the back edge is into my area already.
