Good indication if the morning snow. 1st pic at 6:30 am is well below halfway up on the tires, and the second at 10:10 am is well above halfway up.

the wind is so constant the snow does not stop being horizontal, it looks like a lot heavier when its blowing, i think it has gotten heavier though.

Eh, maybe I can reasonably equate that to 17-18 inches so not such a failed effort after all lol. Will see where we end up at, for now fine powdery snow, but coming down fairly hard still and seems to be still accumulating.

Looks like band from LI has made it to NYC and southern westchester is picking up again. The snow keeps advancing west.

I am sitting in my living room and looking out the window just so peaceful and beautiful .the sound of the wind and seeing the snow come down I love it

A nice looking negative trough. A little too broad, and it has not closed off. If this thing tightened up and closed off south of us, would have been a storm of epic proportions. We’ll have to keep waiting for the elusive Frankzilla…

18* with moderate snow. Finally caught the edge of a slightly heavier band on the backside of the storm here. Probably will push my total closer to 5" by the time all is said and done.

Here’s your 700mb low and frontogenesis represented by the purple outlines. Long Island is experiencing 2-3”/hour rates under some of these bands. We even have some frontogenesis showing up in parts of Jersey.

I am watching Meteorologist Joe Cioffi He is saying the heaviest snow will be over by 12 or 1 o’clock in NYC but I am watching the weather channel the future cast has moderate snow till 23o in NYC Do you think that is true
