2.5" measured on the grass and deck. Warmer surfaces about 1". might be able to squeeze 3" based HRRR.

At 8:40AM. Stopped snowing here but 3" surprise surprise. Last year SB day storm I measured 9" and that was an overperformer like 14 and 15 storms. Must be the day!! pic.twitter.com/yczUiHDfnq
— Al Mugno (@MugnoaAl) February 13, 2022
Surprise surprise!! Every SB day storm has done the same and last years was a 9" storm here. Each one has been an overperformer here 14,15,21,22!!

3.5 inches. Lightly snowing. Looks like a Currier & Ives scene. The snow pack is restored! Doc’s spirited defense worked.

LOL Damian, we north folk were due!
Down to 25 degrees, still light snow.Trained spotter in Monroe had 3.5 inches at 7 am, so my aging eyeballing of 4 before was pretty good,LOL.I will get my cane and seeing eye dog to go out for a proper measurement! (just joking, will go with the trained spotter)
As Damian said, just a beautiful winter portrait up here, snowpack completely restored.

Moderate snow in Central NJ…probably 2-2.5 inches on the ground already….looks like a rustic painting outside!

Tapering off to snow showers didn’t get that much hardly any on the concrete and streets roughly about an inch or two on the grassy area but it looks beautiful outside a nice winter wonderland snow on the trees

Re: February 2022 Obs & Discussions
Strange morning. All morning long the radar said it was snowing in Bayville (exit 80), and it never really snowed. Now I’m up in Long Branch (Exit 105) and it’s snowing nicely even though radar says it isn’t. Lol About an inch otg up here in Coastal Monmouth.
Looking at future cast, coastal Ocean and Monmouth Counties may still get a nice treat this afternoon if this heaviest band drags itself across the plain.

Re: February 2022 Obs & Discussions
4.0 new inches of snow here and 26° with light snow still falling.
Extends the consecutive snow pack streak to 38 days. Not bad for a winter that's only seen about 26 inches to this point, still below the normal for this date.

4 inches and light snow through filtered sun which has been happening the last 1/2 hour.
This is channeling a cheesoid 1950's type movie title 'The Storm That Wouldn't Die",LOL.
A pleasure to have a storm come in higher, NWS had me for one inch total yesterday.

Just emerged from the grocery store to very heavy snow in Long Branch. Maybe cracking 2” up here, not sure about 25 miles south where I live though. Looks for the coast today is more about the snow falling than accumulating.

Still snowing here in Parsippany but haven’t had any additional accumulation for a few hours. It’s starting to melt off cars now.
So I’ll call it at 1.5” for the day.

Best shot at whitening up is likely the 3-7pm timeframe for S Jersey pic.twitter.com/yiwyGApQEP

ALL of the 12z models have shifted the heaviest axis of snow to directly along and just north and west of I 95. And the short range models are now getting quite bullish on SEPA and CNJ. Some of our board members may be very pleasantly surprised by this...
I think 2-3" with some potential jackpot zones of up to 5" may possible for CNJ WNJ (does that even exist?) and EPA. Also include LI, but favoring Nassau over Suffolk at the moment. Everywhere else (including SNJ, NNJ, NWNJ and LHV)- C-2", maybe some isolated 3".
heehaw, I'm not sure it was such a bust...I know two people who literally predicted it. Ha ha, Ok, you predicted it, I just rode your coat tails. lol
Mugsy too- spotted yesterday morning that the short range tilted north heavily and that a shift in expectations might be necessary. Overall, a very interesting track and a really awesome learning experience right from the very best...thanks once again guys!
btw- still snowing nicely here and might last for another or so. Calling it an inch. That makes a pretty stout 32" on the season and 5 storms of 1" or more.

Picked up 3 inches from this nice little event. 15.5 for the season so far, still well below average, but have snow/ice cover for about 5 weeks now.
