Oh boy just texted my ex..he nd family moved to Florida this year...cape Coral! Is that not where the worst of this storm is going to be?

Hey mom, my brother is in Cape Coral, am going to check in with him later. As of this morning, anywhere from Ft. Myers north is still in play. They will have terrible conditions regardless of where landfall is. Tornadoes, storm surge, heavy rain in the neighborhood of 5-10" and strong winds will all hammer the area. My brother has been prepared since last week and is far enough in from the coast I think to avoid the surge. But 5-10" of rain? Not so sure. Hoping everyone in Florida listens to local authorities and evacuates if told to do so.

Close friends of ours just moved to Lakewood Ranch which is in between Bradenton and Sarasota a month ago. My brother from another mother lives in Fort Meyers with his family. Both will have their hands full this week for sure.

Looks like pressure still dropping. Looks like is now sub 950 and still over land.

Well see how the rest of the recon data turns out but there may have been a little weakening this am. But again it will likely be short lived. Also there seems to be a definite NNE motion, however a minor wobble is possible too

Prob undergoing an EWRC which tends to temporarily weaken the peak winds followed by intensification

Hey I am going to post this..we live on the water..right before Sandy..someone said( I think it was our insurance agent) to take pictures and video of your whole house inside and out to have with you incase something happens. It was not the first thing on our minds..and thank goodness we did not need it..but just putting it out there...
