Wow the heavy rain and wind just woke me up..currently 45*rf 38*..wind gusts over 20+..the momma bear in me does not want my 17 yo to drive in this...but I hear my husband in my head say..."let him be a man" lol
BE SAFE OUT THERE!!

Just under 4 inches with my new weather station..husband installed Sat inbetween rain bouts...so we are def over 4 inches of rain this weekend..

47 degrees, windy, rain.This could be a late November day.Rain much appreciated up here!
Mom, your husband is right, your son will build self confidence driving in this.My Mom undoubtably felt the same way when I took off alone after I got my license in February 1968 in the 1959 Ford.I wanted to drive some major highways to get to the Paramus Roller Rink on Route 17 to meet girls,lol.At night ,no less.

5.31" here since Friday. 1-2" more a bit further south near Forked River and Lacey.

He's had it worse than me. Sunday night, the "firehose" that went into Southern Ocean County dropped 3.0"-4.5". I only had 2.20" in the same 24-hour period. That, combined with the consistent onshore flow, has made some record tides in his parts—pretty incredible stuff. I may have started to catch up, given the more convective, less stratiform banding has been further north in the past 12-18 hours, but overall, this has been a pretty incredible, long-duration event, wind, rain, and coastal flooding-wise.

I love it the old timers have arisen and are back for a kick arse winter!!!

2.55" here so far. Guess models like Euro n Ukie were right. What a comeback!! Had .80 overnight and we add Saturday I have 2.80 overall.
Not like SNJ that has reports of 7 - 9" but definitely going to put a dent into this drought.

Speaking of rain…i said in a post,,what, yesterday that I got seemingly steady rain but only an inch in the gauge; the I went to bed, got up this morning to find 2.5 inches of rain in the gauge. My wife said the boom-booms were so loud and over the house that the house shook. I of course slept through it

I went to Tractor Supply and while in line, folks were exclaiming at to the ferocity of the storm.

Just now since 8 am, there is another 1/2 inch. Surprising because it is raining on and off but not that hard. I am thankful to see it

The gift that keeps of giving...wish it was snow though but we needed this rain to bust this drought or put a nice debt in it.
