60* with some rain showers and a rumble of thunder here. Better chance of a severe storm in spots later today after the atmosphere warms up and becomes more unstable ahead of the frontal passage. High winds likely for overnight as well.

Oh boy, uncommon for NWS to up the ante on the risk so close to game time, sun is baring feels like 80 here, temp must gone up 30 degrees in about 2 hrs. The way the breeze is blowing from the west tells me we def could be in for some fierce storms this evening.

after a morning of on and off showers the sun is out and its 72* and for goodness sakes I need to mow the lawn and am itching to work in my gardens..even if its too early!! waiting on the storms later..

Tornado warned storms in SE PA and also DE. I am in Cape May County. The circled tornado warned storm is headed this way. Will keep you posted:

Current radar. Circled area is suspected tornado that has now moved east of Trenton toward Monmouth/Ocean counties.

Reports of large hail around the Philly, Central/South Jersey region with some of these storms. Major damage from downed trees also.

1 confirmed dead in house collapse in Delaware tornado. Reports of heavy damage from suspected tornado in Bucks PA/Central NJ.

A friend in Cinnaminson, NJ outside of Philly sent a video of trees snapped in half. Thankfully they fell on his fence and not the house. I think the NWS is heading in that area to check damage. That area was under a tornado warning last summer too, I would move!

There have been a fair number of tornados in this mid-Atlantic region in the last few years (for us, not compared to places like tornado ally or the South). Seems like an uptick although statistically I don’t know if it really is.
