Just walked through my first round of snow flurries of the year. Very light, I think they steadier snow showers/squalls have been mostly north of I-78. And it is COLD.

26* with a feels like of 14* in Long Branch NJ (exit 105 GSP, costal Monmouth County). By far my coldest morning of the season so far. High temp for today in the upper 30’s with winds at 10-15 mph. Happy hump-day all!

Nah, I can’t lie, I’m totally kidding haha these are pictures from an event last year haha you were right, although I’m not sure we torched as bad as what could have been. I think we only made it to like 2°C aloft from what I can tell. There wasn’t enough to really get our coastal cranking in time to change the wind field enough to make the difference. As always, though, it was just nice to actually talk weather for a change, and for the first of what I think will be many opportunities to do so. Hopefully lol and, hopefully you got a laugh out of it like I did haha

You SOB. You got me. My knee jerk response to reading that first sentence and seeing the pics was to immediately look at your location. LBI NJ....I was like "NO FREAKING WAY!?!?" LOL Then I saw the Greentown Pa and I was like "wait a minute...where the heck is that and what's its elevation?"

It was def nice to have some discussion about the short term rather than trying to predict the long term, and I definitely did get a good laugh at this post and my reaction to the post. lol

I wasn’t gonna do it at first because I didn’t think I had any pictures, but then I said “ahhh let me check.” lol I’m glad that you got as good a laugh out of it as I did lmao

We did pick pick up another few tenths of ACTUAL snow on Tuesday with the lake enhanced squalls, and they’re still on the ground, but that’s the extent of our snowfall so far haha

Central Park will be ~ 1.6 BN for November temps with T of snow reported on 11/28.

Across the area
ABE (Allentown, PA) ~ 3.2 BN no snow reported at the airport, albeit not sure how they didn't get clipped with something on 11/28
KNYC ~ 1.5 BN trace of snow reported on 11/28
PHL ~ .6 BN no snow reported

So many small waves of energy in each jet stream. It starts to lose sense of individuality, which to fade or strengthen, which to interact across streams, so they flail around mixing lead & trailing waves then switch which to mix & match each subsequent run. Ignore until stable.
