I won't have a snow map until 4pm. I prefer people do not ask me about specific questions about their backyard just yet.
Agreed Frank. I have an idea, and i am fully aware that i am relatively new to posting on here but, how about we all let Frank and all the others on here who forecast and put up maps etc do what they do best..........forecast and monitor the activity. I am sure when there is a necessary update they will provide it. It has to be pretty annoying to be constantly bombarded with questions about one's specific area. Frank how much for my area? Do you think it will be all snow in my area? Will i get mixing? etc etc etc..... I know this is a forum for open discussion and everyone has the absolute right to discuss whatever they want but lets use some sense here too! When maps are ready they will be released, when updates are warranted they will be released. Ok i am done lol

24 hours before a storm or in the chats I do not mind, but when there is still uncertainty, I can't give you an answer. But yes, thank you, I like this idea. Lol
Re: February 12th-14th Storm Potential
It should be open for questions, however I do agree that you are right in some respect that asking over and over is dumb (of my and yes I am outing myself so please realizae my humble personality), as things will be available when they are. I will wait to see, thats it I am done for now too. Thnaks for everything nonetheless

Atlanta is turning into a disaster area. Snow and ice. Obama has signed an emergency order to send everyone home. Everything shut down. Will be shut down for days

CMC has over 2" of precip in most of NJ, such a strong storm not really buying the mix line pushing into Allentown. Good trend.

Godzilla avatar activated. This is definitely a Godzilla all the way from the Mid-Atlantic to New England with widespread 12''+ amounts of snow.

Sounds like Frank needs to have a merchandise section on the webpage!
A new T-Shirt available after every storm. Front/back of shirt with predicted vs. actual storm totals.

NjWeatherGuy wrote:Red track is EURO, green track is NAM, black track is the track I like ATM.
Note the NAM track which I checked over and over again and that is what it does, looks odd no? Especially given a closed H5
It seems odd maybe, but one thing that we are forgetting to look at is the kicker that will be in the northern plains. The NAM may be on to the fact that that s/w energy may act to kick the track east of where the Euro/cmc has it. Just look at how amped the pacific jet looks right now. That energy is going to be the kicker in the northern plains.
Tonights 00z will be huge because it will be sampling all of that energy as it comes ashore today and tonight. I think a list minute jog with the track east by about 20-40 miles is possible. Not definite but possible. The other thing is the HP that is just sitting idol up in Quebec just as this thing is really amping up. Its not super strong, but is in a good position. I don't know...despite what I have seen today with the warmth along the coast I still think a shift of about 25-30miles or so to the battle zone south and east still happens. Just a gut feeling. I def think most of suffolk county at least will see a least a brief period of change over, but my gut thinks it will change back quicker. I am trying not to let my love of big snow totals cloud my judgment here. Maybe it is. Well see.
