According to instantcwxmaps, some areas even ticked up to the 14-16 range, and a few blips of 16-18.

very good run by the gfs. so far the models have been very consistent with this storm. they have had this storm now for several days with very little waffling. so when are the better samplings going to come in? and do you think it will make a major difference?

What a strangely set up snow map, with that huge west to east swath of big snows. I don't think I've ever seen a setup like that before.

But I shouldnt be saying that yet 6-12 at least like you said. But seems like these numbers are coming fiarly well in sync for GFS anyways. CMC next!

Storm will be fully onshore and sampled by 12z friday.

Going to wait til 12z tomorrow until taking snow maps more seriously. Still some disagreement between QPF and track.

Doc, take it slow and easy with 15 min breaks and 15 min of shoveling and I go out in it every so often so I do not have to do it all at once. Just a thought.

Oh and lots of water, shoiveling is one of the number one heart attack causes, trust me I am in the medical field (are you "doc") anyways fun fun!

Thanks, J Man, for the good advice.That 15 minutes is pretty much all I'm capable of anyway.I try to go out three or four times in a big storm to do 3 or 4 inch accumulations at a time.

I see on that one model I am right near that 16 to 18 inch blip!

Gotta shape up, here, I've got the Snow Weenie crowd exerting attitude adjustment on me.Don't want to face the "wrath of Snow", the "mocking of Mugs" and the "caterwauling of CP"!

Now, for the mere mention of saying my back is tired, I WILL GUARANTEE YOU I get that 16 inches.It can't play out any other way,LOL!

12z GGEM is south. 6 inches for us, much more for DC area.
