Re: March 2nd-4th Potential Snowstorm
The GFS actually matched the map from my blog that I made of where highest snowfall could fall.
Re: March 2nd-4th Potential Snowstorm
So can we pretty confidently say over a foot most places, or still wait until tomorrow evening?

Cp mid-hudson does well with that run plus it will be around 20 so that will add up.

Re: March 2nd-4th Potential Snowstorm
The southern stream was much stronger on the GFS compared to 12z, hence the qpf rise. I mentioned in my blog some ways this storm could get stronger. Might be happening...

Jim:
No problem with any of the GFS runs today, we all do well.
I'll sign for the 14-16 right now.

Re: March 2nd-4th Potential Snowstorm
NYC only needs 6.0 inches to get to the number 2 spot.
Odds are looking pretty good for that right now.

Jman:
I remember in the last inning of a championship baseball game I was involved in, leading by two runs with two outs and no runners on base someone in our dugout uttered the words we've got this it's on to the next round.
Needless to say we lost. The teammate that uttered those words didn't even play in the game, but we all knew afterwards that he blew it for us.
I think the message is clear. There are no sure things, in sports or in weather.
I should also add, the two guys that made errors in the field that inning didn't help.

Yes yes yes! I am like either in the orange or right next to it. eityher weay over a foot for me, and temps will be low so ratios could make even higher, although instantwxmaps does account for ratios.
