Re: Update #4: Final Call Snow Map
MWS is siding with the WPC, which is why their upton snow map is low, the discussion eludes to the very good possibility that everything will need to be increased.

I know what you mean Doc. My mom's almost 80 and lives down in Whiting in SJ and she is hardcore snow weenie. Mom's going to love this forecast and REALLY love it if it happens.
Snowman whiting not far from me and I consider whiting Cnj lol
Skins, I just call it SJ because my grandparents had a house in Ortley beach and I spent most of my summers at the shore when I was young. My parents always use to say we're going to South Jersey to visit your grandparents on vacation. I guess that's why I consider it SJ.
All good snowman it's always debatable this area that's why I mentioned it. Lol

Re: Update #4: Final Call Snow Map
One of my winter outlook analogs were 1977-1978. Also in my original outlook from November I called for a Godzilla in mid to late January. This storm happened in that winter.
I may have jumped the gun on the winter to update it back on January 1st. Then again, you don't usually predict these type of storms that could bring your seasonal average in 1 shot and I did mention that in the updated outlook.

Re: Update #4: Final Call Snow Map
The NAM to me looks like it's struggling to bring the mid level trough negative. Has been positively tilted for most of the run so far. Let's see what happens, wouldn't surprise me if it's east of BM

00z nam doesn't look good. Phase looks late and trough as I said was too positive. Then again..it's the worst model ever.
See you at 10. Bug gfs run tonight.
