you know I was just thinking that. there are people on here and other weather boards who have been killing us snow weenies all winter saying what an epic fail. all of a sudden they disappear.lol all of us are on here day and night tracking hoping and following each model run with high hopes even after bad solution after bad solution. some times I wonder what their motives are?

I remember the BD blizzard we couldn't even push the snow we actually had to abandon some trucks they were stuck. This doesn't seem to as much snow wise so hopefully we are ready for this one.

I dont really post much but follow you guys all the time, and learn. It is so frustrating to see the posts from some people, it's like they do it too get strike a nerve I really think they just like too break chops...but now things turn around and not a word...oh well heres to the start of winter!!!

remember record snows for our area are in the 20-30" range so the models saying 40" with ratios is hard to believe and if we expect that we may be dis appointed. let's just try to enjoy this. i'm talking to myself here.lol

think about this for a second. we have this epic storm followed by another thurs night-fri.. some say 4" for that and thn super bowl storm maybe and after that next week looks frigid right now. we could have massive amounts of snow otg for very long time.

I was at my mom's (Whiting NJ) for Christmas that year. Her area received around 2 feet of snow. While in my area (NEPA) we only had 8in. talk about a let down.
I was so glad I was at mom's for the holidays.

The Mets/ Professors talked about the Super Bowl storm in their 12 day trends segment on Friday evening. They felt that this was going to be something that would have to be watched carefully. A few days earlier they did their climate watch segment (it's a 30 day outlook Jan. 21st-Feb. 18th) they said it would be colder than normal with plenty of storms to be watching. I like these guys because when their wrong they admit it.

yes snow the next few weeks look outstanding. you know while cpc hasn't officially called this a el-nino year enso temps have el-nino criteria. as frank and others have said these types off winters are back loaded and we may be seeing this come to fruition now.

Hey Al, was wondering where you were, I just woke up have a bad headache coffee then I am reconsidering the dentist so I can get groceries as soon as the store opens cuz god knows now everyone is going to now about this storm potential, we however know the extreme side of it which is still very possible in many areas. GFS has us around 15 inchs on wxbel without ratios, Frank talked about 15:1 plus ratios not 12:1!
