For those concerned that they're not in the blizzard watch area, remember a blizzard watch has nothing to do with amounts of snow that will fall, it really only has to do with reduced visibility's from wind and snow for more than a three-hour period. That's all it means. If you're outside the blizzard watch area you most likely will have near blizzard conditions visibility wise you, just won't have the wind criteria to make it a defined blizzard.

They must feel the pressure especially before what could be a historic storm on Tuesday. If we have any hope of at least getting a somewhat accurate measurement in central Park,they have to feel the heat so they have a responsible person there and not an underpaid lion feeder.

Remember the only reason the record-setting February 2006 storm in central Park of 26.9 inches ever came to be was because Paul Kocin called the Central Park zoo every hour and made sure they took an accurate written measurement. Lol man I knew the b watches would be expanded and winds were increased by 15 mph for gusts now 50. There could b a lot of power outages especially li. This is exciting and dangerous at same time. Drifts will b insane.

Oh gosh have run store now when do we expect warnings to be issued tonight or tomorrow? It's 24 hrs right so I'd say tonight?

BLIZZARD WATCH NYC!!!!!! Can't remember the last time we had a watch for this. Usually it's WSwatch and then BliZard warning.

Al with a set up like that I've actually seen the western areas have the heavy pre-sip rotate back in after the storm passes a little north of the benchmark. That could be what happens here. Just a layman's opinion.

Does anyone who is a teacher on here know when blizzard warnings go up if schools usually cancel ?
