That's not real cold. That's death cold. Like you can't even stay outside for 2 seconds type of cold. You mine as well hibernate.

Spoke with my town dpw guys and I asked why the lack of street salting. I 2as not budting theor chps but just seeing what was up. I asked are we low cause I hear that is a problem again in nnj and they replied YES! We have one storm left of salt for the main roads and that is all if we do not get a load in. 2014 all over again for most towns in my area up here in nnj.

Amugs we are ok here in my town I work in because we got a good load right after the big storm. But yes I'm hearing their is shortages once again.

25.3° light snow falling looks like at least an inch so far this morning. I'll say one thing when Frank and some others on this board talk about pattern change they mean business. What a glorious last two weeks it's been.

An area of snow over northern NJ...the lower Hudson Valley...and southeastern CT will impact the tri-state area through the morning commute. Visibilities will be reduced to 1 mile...and down to 1/2 a mile in the heaviest bands. Motorists are urged to use caution.

Additionally...as temperatures continue to drop this morning...any standing water that resulted from snow melt yesterday and overnight will refreeze creating black ice.

Temp. 28 and dropping fast here in Western Nassau county. Already over an inch of snow and still going strong. Radar looks even better 15 miles east out at my house. Could pick up 2"

Did not snow at all if any in the Bronx, not even a coating, I will say it got really cold and the wind is howling, I actually had to brace myself a few times, could be building funneling but I am not in manhattan.

just got home to Syosset and was really surprised to see much more snow on the ground from this morning than I expected. I just measured 2.1" in several spots in my yard that I had completely cleared out. I'm located on the border of Nassau and Suffolk counties just north of the LIE. Anyone else nearby record as much??

I just posted this on the "sneaky" thread also. Real surprising because 15 miles west of here I got under an inch.

SEASONAL TOTAL SO FAR a little over 39" I can't even believe it. SOMEONE ELSE PLEASE CONFIRM THESE NUMBERS FOR ME!!
