Life on the mountain is always way different ahaha And Frank, that was my response too ahaha I checked like 1.5 or two hours ago and we were like +4*. I thought I was seeing things, so I actually walked outside to make sure, and it is indeed -11 ahaha My first clue was when I went to close my door and my hand stuck to the metal handle on the outside ahaha I was like "Uh oh.."

I think you messed something up lol even the highest total on there (which I think is in the 15-20 range) would be about 8" at a 10:1 ratio

aiannone wrote:I remain optimistic for snow tmw for the coast (SCT, Long Island (except far eastern) and NYC. Fire Island inlet is partially frozen, Temp is 9 at my house on NLI, ocean temp off the coast is 35 and open temps off NENJ where the SW wind would come from is 33. Then the wind travels over snowpack everywhere. Good luck warming up!
Alex, this is what I, RB and soy have said and I posted this yesterday and there was some peculation to this notion but the ocean and bay and sounds are frozen or be low freezing and we have a deep snowpack that goes down to Tennesse so unless the slp or lp was a behemoth how in of name is a tongue of warm air going to not cool down traveling over such cold air. Btw here is the 18z RGEM co,dr and more snow towards the coast.

Yes where the h is everyone with a decent sized to really good storm incoming. Is it winter fatigue? Cold fatigue? Model fatigue?

Very quiet is right. I am the opposite tonight since starting tomorrow night I got a busy month of work so I am enjoying everyones tracking because this is prob the last of the year I can focus on unless we get a spring storm.(which we haven't had a good one in 5 years)

Re: Final Call Snow Map - February 21st
You would think that purple line would continue from pa to ct. Maybe its the upside vs downside of mountains. Going up mountains always forces moisture out and the downside of mountains is drier.
