I posted this yesterday. When you're in the bulls eye 3 days out the only way it can trend is bad!! Not saying that's what is happening here but all the recent storms have trended colder/south inside of 36 hours!!!! We'll see. I do wish I was in Philly for this one though!

that's what franks scroll says at the top and I am in between NYC and N/W (just about 15 miles north of city or so).

Though you were talking about Thursday storm scared me there lol

Right now, I do have concern for those N&W of NYC to be out of the moderate snow amounts. Low level dry air on the fringe of the precipitation during these types of events is almost always present. That said, frontogenesis may try to overcome that.

For NYC Meteo and CNJ...watch the trend. While N&W may be out of the heaviest amounts and we're still in them...I have a feeling the S&E trend is not done. The mid-level trough is stringing out and the overall flow is progressive. This is not going to be a long duration event.

For coastal/SNJ...this will be your storm. Possibly your Godzilla but I have not made that determination yet. I strongly feel the Philly Metro area will be the jackpot at this juncture.

1st call snow map will be out by 7pm this evening.

For clarification purposes...........what do you guys consider North and West of the city/How far does that extend North and West? I am about 25 minutes North in White Plains.

CMC is still a nice hit for New York City it is dryer for Northwest areas though. Jman I don't know what maps you're looking at cant post now on mobile will post when I get home

If this turns into another 'advisory' snowfall for NYC I am literally going to weep. This will probably be our last shot at a decent storm for the season.

Frank it's the wxbwll snow map. She's nothing tonight and 3 to 7 maybe 8 on li thurs. Im.not sure how to throw it in a fire.

Still 48 hrs to go much change let's hope it stops here or even comes back slightly north. I'd like to at least match my highest storm of 10.

Still thinking my area looks good!! If the precip shield doesn't get suppressed, and with the help of better ratios, then areas to my north should still end up with around 6 inches of snow. The I-195 corridor has been in the bullseye for several runs now and just west of my area may be the JP.

And the carnage I spoke about yesterday is starting here after a model run, Jesus.
