Final Snow Map - Observations Thread 3/1-3/2 Storm

Here is my final call snow map



I am expecting an area of enhanced snowfall rates for those located within the red zone which will help boost up snowfall amounts. Ultimately, this is where I think the thermal gradient will set up, thus promoting the greatest frontogenesis.

ICE:

Those in the red zone I do not believe have to worry much about ice, possibly less then .10" If you're in the blue zone from central PA to CNJ and south shore of LI get prepared for .15-.20" of ice.



The storm is looking pretty juicy as of now. Lets see how we look by the time we chat tomorrow morning at 10am.

Many local Mets, including Steve D, have just 1-3" for NYC Metro. Clearly I am seeing something they are not.

Yes. I saw a Met on KYW 3 Phillly say that this morning 1-3inches of snow, but WSW was more for the icing issue.

12* and very light snow falling. Just a coating so far.

Good Morning, SNOW. When I saw the pink WSW's south of me on NWS I thought this storm really shifted south but it's for more ice they expect down there.They still have me 4 to 6 all snow advisory.

Yes its for Ice but I also agree with franks map of 2-4 inches of snow for my area. Then ice on top. I don't believe the local mets on snow amounts some think a coating to an ich that will bust

Good morning Cp and Doc. Yes local Mets are saying 3-5in. and Mets in Philly are saying 3-6in. for my area. Both are saying all snow no mixing issues.
TWC is calling for 1-3in. with possible mixing. Go figure.
I'm also in WWA Doc.

If this storm busts it will be due to the moved up time schedule keeping most of the action during the day. This may prevent stickage.
