snowing moderately here in Astoria Queens. 33 degrees wasn't snowing at my house when I left this morning looks like a band is forming from Rockland County heading down through the city and moving south. I wonder if that band is going to expand and persist today. snow will have a hard time to stick during the day though

there looks like there's a spin to the radar right over New York City. I don't know where the upper level low is exactly at this time but sometimes the places that are sitting right under it can get decent amount of snow as the spinning low squeezes out all moisture in the atmosphere

Snow I think you have to check the definition of heavy snow because I'm doubting you've seen any today. Maybe a tad exaggerated like a few of those past totals. Very Happy

Looks like coating to an inch for NYC, 1-3 for LI/CT, iso 4 or 5 on eastern LI/E CT, and 1-3 for the HV.

Currently moderate snow, 32*, light dusting. Will check back in later. Good luck all.
