NYC got between 26.8 inches (it still irks me) and 30.5 inches of snow yesterday at their 3 reporting stations. Boston received 6.1 inches.

A little revenge for last year.

ha that looks to have frankzilla potential. I'm so glad not in school now so I can track. Thx for all u do frank. On another note at least in my neighborhood the roads are a mess. Yonkers really dropped the ball have not seen a plow since c early last night. If school buses come in here they will b stuck. Shoot I'm hoping I can get out for work.

Dont let those media shots in midtown fool you. Highways and major streets may be ok but in actual residental neighborhoods its quite a mess. There are plenty of streets you can stand in the middle thigh deep in snow. Some streets had cars stuck yday afternoon and left so the street couldnt be plowed. Also streets where plows got stuck. Once you stop you let a snow drift pile up around you and even plows have tough time pushing that much snow.

She is just wrong. It's possible the storm stays out to sea but there's still a storm to track. It's as clear as day on the models.

I saw her too..said WHAT???? Joe Cioffi just did a video on Thursday threat, says NAM won't be useful this time around due to the set up. Going with Euro and GFS and says it relies on the phasing of the 2 jets.

He's 100% right. NAM will be useless this time around. Much different storm.

I guarantee that the side streets in queens are a NIGHTMARE. I work in a middle school in flushing and there will be no parking. In 2006 we had the storm on sunday then worked on monday. They didnt even plow the side streets. NYC has this bravado about themselves like they cant shut down. So now i'll get stuck in the middle of a street trying to find a parking spot.

Well, many of the side streets in eastern Queens have been plowed, but as of 1:30 PM one of the smaller streets in Bellerose had yet to have a plow come through. I hope they got one through though. James, more specifically, it was 90th Avenue just west of the Cross Island Parkway near Braddock Avenue.
