It's a monster, a mere 100 mile jog west and we'd all be in heaven, unfortunately people on the twin forks of LI might literally be if it jogged that far west.
Very unlikely this late in the game, but as I've stated before storms this big and powerful tend to have minds of their own.

I absolutely agree Jman. That's what I meant when I said they have a mind of their own when they get this powerful.

Re: February 8, 2016 Snowfall Observations & Discussions
I was just looking at weatherwatchmom's beautiful link to the map showing the wind field. This beast is located just off myrtle beach and still way west of our longitude and moving more north than anything else. If it moves due north (which I know it won't) it would be west of the entrance to Chesapeake bay. That's how far west it still is. My question is even if this thing goes due east northeast from its current position starting right now ( which it probably won't do yet) we would still get the goods no? Plus the storm over the Great Lakes really hasn't come east. Anyone want to chime in?

18Z GFS has it go E from NC coast, then ENE, if anything slightly more E than 12Z.
Who knows at this stage.

Starting to read on other boards that the storm is still not moving east and it's likely coming a bit further west than modeled. Every mile counts
