Wow. One of the biggest storms of the year just off our coast and no posts in almost an hour. Is it because of Super Bowl or is everybody just that hacked off because one of the biggest storms of the year IS JUST OFF THE COAST! Lol. Hoping for west trend.

Probably a little bit of both. Models are in full agreement now. Including the EURO. Light snow accumulations for NYC Metro. A little more on Long Island. Set in stone.

This map from Meteorologist at NY Metro Weather matches my thoughts exactly. Go off of this and my scroll. I'm an inch higher compared to them but that's semantics.

WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 6 PM EST
MONDAY.

* LOCATIONS...SUFFOLK COUNTY.

* HAZARD TYPES...HEAVY SNOW AND WIND.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 4 TO 8 INCHES.

* WINDS...NORTHEAST 15 TO 25 MPH WITH 30 TO 35 MPH GUSTS.

* TEMPERATURES...IN THE LOWER 30S.

* VISIBILITIES...ONE QUARTER TO ONE HALF MILE AT TIMES.

* TIMING...SNOW DEVELOPS LATE TONIGHT...AND THEN THE HEAVIEST SNOW
WILL FALL FROM THE MONDAY MORNING COMMUTE THROUGH MONDAY

Here's my final call. I'll likely end up being way too high for the western half.

Congrats eastern areas yet again. Some of you surely have to be close to 50"+ by now?

NAM has light snow from 7am until mid morning. 

More expansive western precip shield on the NAM.

NAM definitely looks better this run.

Coastal no and long island need to really pay attention here

NWS has us anywhere from 3 to 4 inches for the next few days, it gets cold afterwards and then more potential for next week.

Things could be worse, the poor guys north of 84 really have to sweat this out.

NAM looks great with the IVT!

they are only predicting 1-3 for tom thru tues...here by sandy hook or are you talking about winds
