Doc and Puff,
Thanks for answering. That storm is still the once in a lifetime for me.....so far. It did take over a week for clean up and for the Governor to give the okay to drive on the roads. If I get half of that I will be a happy camper.
B.O.S.T.O.N does not sux! lol

Re: March 14th Godzilla Discussion Part 2
Cmc did go east but showed a silly precip field . at one point, the low was just se of li and it only had light snow into nyc. With a storm this deep, that is not happening. I would expect snow totals to increase from jersey shore, to nyc, to li. Maybe eastern li would have mixing issues.

Re: March 14th Godzilla Discussion Part 2
The gfs was too fast it seems would have been huge if was bit slower. Still big wind and coastal flood issues with gfs and cmc.

Re: March 14th Godzilla Discussion Part 2
Whoever asks where Cantore will be should be banned from the forum. He's a TRAITOR!!! A boy from Rome NY who goes to Red Sox Suck for EVERY STORM regardless of the forecast. They could be getting 5" and NYC 3' and he would be in Red Sox Suck.

Re: March 14th Godzilla Discussion Part 2
They said the 1978 storm stalled southeast of Montauk. This one is not forecast to stall down by us. If anything it stalls up in the gulf of Maine. The storm has actually sped up cutting down on totals on the GFS

Re: March 14th Godzilla Discussion Part 2
It could still stall a few runs back it did, things have not fallen fully in place yet biut I think we are nearing a track then speed will be known thereafter.syosnow94 wrote:They said the 1978 storm stalled southeast of Montauk. The GEFS looks great, but the QPF is fairly low.

Re: March 14th Godzilla Discussion Part 2
Speed of storm moving up the coast has accelerated. This cuts down on the amount of time it snows. That's why. Let's see what the EURO does coming up. Last run it showed 30 hours of snow
