Lately (like over the past couple years) it seems like the models have been like Lucy picking up the football just as Charlie Brown is about to kick it with many of these storms. Gotta be very frustrating for meteorologists.

The NAM as we once knew it is officially being put out to pasture on the 21st and the new nam the Para is taking over. Hopefully it performs better than the this NAM. Time will tell.

Mt Holly is calling for 3-6 but they fine tuned it. Mostly on 1000 ft elevations and 1-3 in the valley

Also snow will instant melt on ground contact until night fall

To me this means getting squat lol

It shouldn't come as too large of a surprise that the models went from "hero" to "zero" with this particular event. These setups are probably some of, if not THE, hardest events to predict because of their small scale and intricacy. Disappointing, for sure, though.

I've been on this forum 4 years and I LOVE IT!!! However every winter the models have gotten worse and worse. the accuracy is inexcusable. How about we say something like SNOW? What? South and east of I95 in March?? Snow in March. Ha Ha very funny. THAT IS AN ACCURATE FORECAST. F#@% the models. How can a model go from 12.6" to 0 IMBY in 6 hours and be considered reliable. It's all guesswork. God Bless America that in 2017 this is the best we can do. shout

Well mugs I'd love too but can't today unfortunately. Now that I know how close you are let's get the founding fathers plus Janet together and have a lunch or dinner down here. It can be an OTI plus one dinner.

Nothing much up here today.A few periods of light to moderate snow that didn't stick due to above freezing temps.Now 32.1, very light snow.Radar very disorganized, probably just a dusting if anything.

It literally snowed light to moderate to heavy fir a time from about 2pm and still niw. IF the BL surface temp was ever at freezing today wed have at least two inches.
