The storms this evening could be severe. Heavy rain, high wind, perhaps even some hail. I think timing is mainly after 8pm, but there's a chance strong storms could erupt in the mid to late afternoon hours today too.

Round 2 coming in on the 24th floor in ft lee, couldn't see the ground on minute then it opened up and I could see the planes landing at teterboro ! Never seen a storm move that fast! Storm moving north to south very strong winds !

Zoo what about the cell that came through here at about 4PM? Winds were howling here and limbs and a tree went into a friend's house up here.
Heavy rains now.

Not much wind damage here, sorry about your friend's house, it just wasn't as impressive as the SPC and NWS said it would be. Then again, I haven't seen the storm reports for other areas....

Up here in Monroe NY, the event yesterday was much ado about nothing.Just a few heavy rain showers, little wind, minor thunder.The OEM up here called us too warning to take shelter.Rain gauge on the bum so I can't report the total.

The severe weather was a bust but rockland county had a lot of damage from winds. And this eveing I heard a pretty strong line with up to 70mph winds hit NJ, we just got a downpour of rain for a few then sun rain. I really hope Cindy stays far enough south on projected path to not rain Friday or Saturday.
