July 2018 Obs and Discussion

Hit 95.2° here, with humidity in the 50's my real feel was about 100°

Morning low of 82* and it's 440 in the morning it's going to be a long hot day and week

82, dew 71, another disgusting night/am. Worse than last night with more humidity.
81 at the Park, 83 at LGA

88° right now feel like 97° dewpoints at 74° wow

96.4°, with dewpoint at 63.5°, 37% humidity, it's a dry heat! Lol

95* with no Breeze at all I'm working at the new LaGuardia Airport . The new building I'm at has no AC on yet just some fans that does not even I just want to go home take a cold shower and be inside with my AC. I love the summer but how much more longer till we get into winter I'd rather be cold and hot I don't care what anybody says

78 degrees with mostly sunny skies here in Milwaukee.

For those of you who watched (or read) my most recent update from a week ago.......the tropics are right on cue (having issues posting pic right now) while the NHC appears to like my second option, I'm still hesitant that this feeds back more based on my reasons presented. But the ideas have merit. All I can ask for. Severe weather threat still on track, though early in my predicted period, and the 4th still looks largely on. Enjoy!!

Looks like some heavy duty thunderstorms are starting to fire up just north of nyc.They seem to be pretty localized and not moving too much.

Pouring rain with thunder here in Parsippany.

Hopefully this will break this unbearable heat and humidity.

we are in Kingston on our boat..this vacation is hotter than hades!!!!last year we were sweatshirts everday....I call uncle i will not survive 3 weeks on boat like this...we have at but still killing me!!!

Let me try to understand your problem. You're on a 3 week vacation, cruising leisurely up the Hudson on your boat, and you're complaining because it's too hot? If I was captain of that ship I'd make you walk the plank

Excellent storm (but sad about damage) Tons of ctg lightning, pea sized hail at about 2:00. Some tree damage, some branches knocked out some power lines, some buildings hit by lightning, only one started an actual fire.... .39" of rain, temp dropped 20°

ha ha I read this to my husband who by the way wanted to send me home by Uber this afternoon..I am usually a fun mom but I go absolutely crazy in the heat..that is the way to break me if I were being tortured..my son wants to build a plank...but who would supply the snacks if they make me walk it??..I love being on the water and the boat..but yesterday when we pulled up to Marina it was 97 degrees on boat before real feel and today93..I hoping for a better weather day tomorrow..

Well mom, another option would be keelhauling. That way you would get refreshed by being pulled thru the water.
All kidding aside, it is pretty oppressive out there. I too am not a big fan of the excessive heat either, but I think if you can hang in there 'til the weekend, your prayers will be answered. Enjoy the rest of your vacation, and keep those snacks coming for the boys.

Light shower came thru and temp has dropped to 79 here in nassau county, but humidity is still at 74%.
