Besides Canada is an absolute freezer with portions seeing record cold and snow - bodes well for our cold air source moving forward once that dam breaks watch out!

Its just a fantasy at this range!

Cool, cloudy, muggy, misty.Warms up to the 70's but then I see a nice very cool stretch coming up.Thank God for that, so sick of these warm, muggy cloudy days!Trees really turning on the color change switch now!!It will really feel like Fall this weekend.

Misted the whole day high of 66 humidity 97 percent just a depressing day...

I agree Doc, I can't wait until Friday! Highs in the '60s, Lows in the 40s no humidity, no bugs, no shvitzing! My 7 year old said 'pumpkin patch', I said talk to me Friday! Ha ha! Definitely my favorite time of year about to kick off!

Jersey Shore needs to pay attention - He is going to still have Trop Storm affects along this portion especially SNJ - if he jogs more NW or N they could be in for a rough time tomorrow.

Thanks for the heads up Amugs! Southern Delmarva gets totally inundated on those maps...I don't want any part of that.

Delmarva, SNJ, Jersey Shore, and Long Island are in for heavy rain after Midnight tonight. These areas could see 2-3 inches of rain.

Michael held at 50mph TS across a huge part of the US, thats impressive, pressures are lowering and I think he may intensify as he leaves the coast fairly soon. His track is pretty set but any jog more north and we all get a ton of rain, right now futurecast shows the areas frank spoke of getting slammed with the outer rain bands, def 2-4 inches possible.

NC reporting widespread power outages and a storm surge warning was posted for the outer banks - that to me was unexpected.

As I said I think he is going to regain some (I think NHC has him up to 65mph tomorrow) maybe that warrented those advisories. Ha a snowstorm in late october hmmm well it did happen once in the past 10 years...

Don't be surprised to see some snowflakes flying around if your in the interior higher terrain this weekend. A weak disturbance will have a marginally cold enough airmass to work with to start setting the stage for our upcoming season

Today's 12z GEFS 850 temp anomaly is blue/ below normal the entire run except for Monday ahead of the cold front for a 12 hour period. Amazing flip from the warm pattern we've been in.

41* up here already. Frost warning with low around 35, brrrr.

38 degrees, blue frost advisory over my area and turned the boiler on first time this heating season.Trees rapidly changing in color here.A wonderful change from the cloudy, humid warm weather of the past season! Looks cool for the foreseeable future!
